I finished my new quarry location with dedicated generators just in time for 2018. The new plant is much more efficient than the old one, because it is located at -6800 instead of directly under my residence.
Lighting was an issue at this depth, so I had to use a lot of glostone.

yes, it does. I just have to be present.
